The SMD pick and
place machines of the HLX series are designed for high mix /
high speed production. These placement machines feature
quick and easy programming and changeover without downtime.
The robust construction and the use of linear motors for the
travel axes guarantee reliability and highest precision. Due
to the wide component range and the large feeder capacity
even complex PCBs can be populated in one run.

The FLX2010 system
is a highly flexible, precision SMD Pick and Place
production machine with large component diversity. With the
ability to support up to 190 feeders (L-Model: till 310)
this system is specifically designed for small/mid size
volumes. Integrated Intelligent feeders can be unloaded and
reloaded during production, making this the ideal machine
for your in-house or contract production.

Optional to the standard Laser
Centering, the SMD Pick and Place FLX2010 system can be
fitted with a COGNEX Vision System. With this optional
system, the capability is increased to allow the placing of
50x50 mm components and 0.3 mm pitch. The Vision System is
delivered as a standard on the FLX2010-V. It can be
optionally retro-fitted onsite to a standard machine.

The assembly of
LEDs with glue and the population with metal domes are
important steps in the production chain of membrane
keyboards and other flexible circuits. Up to now these tasks
were difficult to automate. The new FLX2010-MK is a complete
production cell for all required assembly operations:
dispensing of glue and conductive adhesives as well as
placement of LEDs, other SMD components and metal domes. All
tasks can be completed in one single machine.

Data Transfer
from Lay-out Program to Placement Machine
Flexible placement machines today can import almost
any CAD data that a lay-out person produces. The layout
person is highly influential in how much time is needed
for data conversion, how many corrections are necessary
during placement, and how accurate the placement will
be. The following guidelines are meant to simplify data
transfer, lower manufacturing cost, and recognize the
lay-out person as a professional who knows the
production process.
